Internship
As defined by the National Association of Colleges & Employers, an internship is a form of experiential learning that integrates knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application and skills development in a professional setting. Internships give students the opportunity to gain valuable applied experience and make connections in professional fields they are considering for career paths; and give employers the opportunity to guide and evaluate talent.
In CLA Professional Developmentās Internship Program, students undertake a significant experiential learning opportunity, typically with a company, non-profit, governmental, or community-based organization. Every 50 hours of supervised work accounts for one (1) academic credit with a maximum of 600 hours accounting for 12 academic credits. The course is open to all majors within the University.
