Our mission: Support First-Generation college students in the College of Science and Technology navigate their college experience by connecting them with resources, mentorship, and support. We seek to bring awareness to the unique challenges first-gen students may encounter and to provide the support they need to overcome any challenges they face throughout their academic journeys. We aim to be a source of comfort and support to foster their success, help build social capital and make known the hidden curriculum at our institution.

Our definition: A First-Generation college student is a student whose parents/guardians did not complete a bachelor’s degree in the US.
